Media hardware and software question.

My boy is a music producer, recently he's had problems with people fucking with his shit and what not... What would you guys reccomend for a secure setup to store media. Most likely we will have an external hd and I have an internal hd that I'm going to use as a backup. Any thoughts on the best way possible to accomplish a secure backup system?
