anyone else having this problem when updating FACE on the GS MRI 5.0.3.0 CD?.......
"Querying remote file: "masters.mst"... Failed "

can't get an updated version of the file.... anyone have any suggestions?

Worlds biggest n00b, 17, here with a question, I have removed all the GS logos from the program using reshack but i cant seam to find where that annoying user agreement and about mri TEXT are stored, anyone know where i can find this to finalize the de-branding of MRI?

Can I just replace the MRI.exe in the old 5.01 .iso with this new cracked MRI.exe file for 5.02 or do I have to download the original Geek Squad 5.02 version and replace the original MRI.exe with the cracked 5.02 version?

When Editiing the MRI 5.0.3s artwork with MS Paint and then replaceing it with REShack. It always ends up breaking the MRI stating that it is not a valid win32 structure. Could you guys give me a hand with this. What program to use or how. Im totally new to this.

Also I have been able to edit the menu and add a program to it, however cant seem to get it to run. What can I do?

Hi again,
So i finally got round to doing a lot more testing on booting MRI from USB and finally got it to work

to make the USB bootable in the first place i tried to inject the bootsector from the ezboot to my usb pen to make a cleaner loading way like the original cd boots but it ended up just making the usb not readable so its best to follow this tutorial from maanu to make the USB pen bootable first

now we can boot MRI but we get the valid structure error

It took a lot of time debugging to find the problem but the fix is really simple.

The problem lies when the system loads the first thing that is booted is winpeshl.ini located in X:\windows\system32 of boot.wim image on the usb,

SHIFT_e asked me to post his file.
Hereby:

This file within MRI provides the PE Shell Loader and the screensaver.
You can customize it to your wish.
Now everyone can create its full MRI BDE 5.0.3.0 CD-ROM with their own art.

p.s i made some progress on the USB booting in 5.0.2 i managed to get it to boot fully from USB although it involved loading a debugger first and then loading the mripeshl file.

ill check 5.0.3 when i get time later and see if this still applies
