Anyone know of an alternative or a Webroot system analyzer that does not have the geek squad logo on it? Been looking around and have not been able to find one. Thanks

[quote=bitterwallet.com]What would you say if we pointed you in the direction of free stuff that could help stop your computer from dying on its arse? You’d say ‘thank you Bitterwallet’ wouldn’t you? Go on then, say it before you move on to the next paragraph.
hey im havin a small problem with winpe where the CD drive letter on different computers isnt always gonna be D:\ and the USB isnt gonna always be H:\ is there a way thru batch i can have it find the cd drive letter then use it, and same for the USB drive letter for which the drive is plugged into?i was thinking something like:
set cddrive=d:\
then for the program i have autostart it would say in the startnet.bat in the boot.wim under windows\system32
%CDDRIVE%\(foldername)\(Programname.exe)
would that work or would i need to something like
CDROM1=D:\
CDROM2=E:\
and if so how does that work exactly? also need this to work for usb if possible
Update: neither worked.. any ideas?
So I noticed even in windows 7 64 bit you still can't get the backward compatibility of some programs to work. As in one of my favorite programs DvD43, but that maybe do to them never making a 64 bit version lol. To help with DVD encryption does any one know of a way to get DvD43 to work on Windows 7 or know of something similar that will work the same for 64 bit.

The guy says he's using 'biographical techniques' to generate suspected passwords that have some relevance to the user. Does anyone know what this or similar software is?
how is the mri able to bot both x64 and x86?? shouldnt it have to do with the drivers and stuff in the boot.wim? since the error occurs when trying to load the boot.wim? i tried adding any drivers i was missing in comparison from my PE to the MRI's PE and still nothin... just a bloated windows folder.. any ideas?
hey how does GS face know that %SYSTEMROOT% = C:\'s Systemroot? and not the ram disk (x:) systemroot? is it just a simple "SET" command? or could it be done easier with a set %HOMEDRIVE%?

Hi Everybody,
I got a win32 mebroot mbr trojan on a external backup drive and I reformatted the C drive and restored the backup and got the trojan back on C drive again. The problem is when I googled a solution I have found all types of removal tools that I must purchase and I don't know which one will work. Malwarebytes does not discover it, ESET Smart Security discovers it but says unable to clean, and the other solution wants me to erase the contents of the external drive including the MBR and its associated partition of data located in the first sector but I have important data on the external back up drive that I can not afford to lose.
Please provide a solution to the above mentioned issue so I don't lose my data.
Thank you in advance for all your effort and cooperation,
R4L
